It’s been a while I know. It has been a rocky few months for me; from my relationship with others to my relationship with myself. I lost my confidence and vision on who I was for a few minute. I was unmotivated to get up and grind like I usually would. Felt like everything was falling apart more than it was falling into place. I had compiled my issues by looking back to the past few years after moving to the U.S and was regretting every decision made. So I had to STOP!, reevaluate myself, how far I had come and started looking at the positive sides of each journey.
I went off social media for a while because I felt stuck on the same spot while everyone else had a first class ticket to their attainable goals. Don't get me wrong, I was always happy for everyone else but hated the fact that I was giving up on my own self.
So, I took a few months off social media to heal from my relationship with others, which invariably messed up my strong relationship with myself.
It wasn't easy it all but I started focusing on me, not worrying about my next IG post, blog post, etc. I started working out more, eating healthier, and started a gratitude jar. Planned a trip for my birthday weekend/my first girls' trip (which didn't go as planned 'sadly') but, it gave me the opportunity to learn more about the people around me and I'm thankful. Now I'm back reclaiming my throne (lol like anyone is dragging it with me).
I'm sharing this my journey just to encourage anyone out there that it could only get better, if it gets so bad (my mum's words).
My mum and best friend were my rock all through my tough period although at first, I felt I always had to do it on my own. Also, shout out to Styledbyempress (checkout her blog guys) we had a bonding moment, where we talked our struggles and mental health in general.
Let's talk Fashion!!
This Spring/summer season has seen a lot of neon trend popping up. Just like every other trend in the 80s' that have been brought back to mainstream fashion. Neon is not an exception. It's almost a tradition to see bright colors for summer. I decided to pair this Fashionnova blouse with a white bell bottom jeans for an airy Caribbean look. An easy fashionable look is a must for me in a tropical atmosphere. This look can me rocked from day to night time.
